How to Hide a host from search results

SUMMARY

Prevent specific employees from appearing in the visitor search list on the iPad. This is useful for CEOs, high-profile staff, or administrative accounts that should not receive visitor notifications.

STEPS

1. Log in to the dashboard and navigate to Hosts / Employees.

2. Search for or locate the host you wish to hide.

3. Click on the host's name to open their Edit Host profile.

4. Look for the Privacy or Visibility settings.

5. You will see an option for Hidden or Display in host search results.

6. Toggle Hidden to On, OR uncheck the box for "Display in host search results" (depending on your layout version).

7. Click Save Changes.

COMMON CONFIGURATIONS

* Specific Locations: Some setups allow you to hide a host from one location while keeping them visible in another.

VALIDATION CHECKLIST

* Go to the iPad and attempt to search for that host's name. * Confirm they do not appear in the dropdown list.

TROUBLESHOOTING

* Problem: Host still appearing. * Fix: Ensure you saved the changes. Refresh the iPad. * Problem: Host not receiving notifications? * Fix: Hiding a host does not disable their notifications; it only stops visitors from selecting them manually. They can still be pre-registered.
