2. How We Use Geo-Location Data

Geo-location data is used exclusively to determine whether you are within a defined radius of a VisitUs location. This allows us to enable the sign-in or sign-out feature for that location.

  • Temporary Storage: Geo-location data is temporarily stored on your device.
  • Sign-In and Sign-Out: If you successfully sign in or out of a location using the Geofence feature, the location data is securely stored on VisitUs servers to complete the sign-in or sign-out process.
  • Emergency Evacuation: In the event of an emergency evacuation, the app can send your exact location to marshals at the point in time that you respond to the evacuation notification. This location is saved in the evacuation report, but it is anonymised. This data is used to better understand where individuals go in the event of an emergency.

The app does not track, monitor, or record your movements beyond this functionality.

3. Sharing of Data

We do not share your geo-location data or personal information with third parties.

4. User Control and Consent

  • Opting Out: You can decline the app’s request to access your location. However, without location access, the app’s core functionality—allowing you to sign in or out of a location using a Geofence—will not be available.
