Troubleshoot SMS issues
SUMMARY
Troubleshooting steps if you are not receiving SMS notifications from the system.
STEPS
1. Go to Location Settings in the left navigation sidebar.
2. Click on the SMS tab.
3. Check Enable SMS notifications:
* Ensure the toggle switch for "Enable SMS notifications" is turned ON.
4. Check SMS Balance:
* Look for the Balance section on the same page.
* Ensure you have a positive SMS balance. If it is zero or low, you may need to top up.
5. Check Country Code:
* Under Defaults & reminders, verify that the Country code is set correctly for your region (e.g., +1 for USA/Canada, +61 for Australia, +44 for UK).
6. Verify Host/Visitor Settings (if applicable):
* If a specific host is not receiving messages, ensure their mobile number is correct in their profile.
* For visitor notifications, check Sign-in Types > [Select Type] > Notifications and ensure SMS alerts are enabled.
VALIDATION CHECKLIST
– SMS notifications are enabled.
– SMS balance is sufficient.
– Correct country code is selected.
TROUBLESHOOTING
– Problem: Balance is zero.
– Fix: Click Top-up Balance to purchase more credits.
– Problem: Notifications still not arriving.
– Fix: Check if the recipient's phone number is blocking business numbers or if there is a network issue.
