PREREQUISITES
You are logged in to the VisitUs dashboard.
SUMMARY
How to enable or disable email notifications sent to hosts when a visitor arrives.
STEPS
1. Go to Location Settings in the left navigation sidebar.
2. Click on the Emails tab.
3. Locate the section Host / Employee Emails.
4. Use the toggle switch for Email when visitor arrives:
* Switch to Active (blue/green) to enable notifications.
* Switch to Inactive (grey) to disable notifications.
5. (Optional) You can also configure:
* Email when visitor signs out: Toggle to notify hosts upon sign-out.
* Fallback recipients: Enter email addresses to be notified if a host cannot be found or does not have an email.
* Always CC: Enter email addresses to always receive a copy of these notifications.
6. Changes are saved automatically (or click Save if prompted).
VALIDATION CHECKLIST
– The "Email when visitor arrives" toggle reflects your desired state.
TROUBLESHOOTING
– Problem: Hosts not receiving emails despite setting being ON.
– Fix: Ensure the host has a valid email address in their profile and check your spam filters.
